Leaf Removal
Leaves and other yard debris should be placed in paper bags and put at the curb for collection on the regular recycling day. They should not be put in plastic bags or placed out for collection with regular household trash.
Leaves will not be picked up if they are not properly packaged or placed out correctly.
Snow Removal
All residents are responsible for shoveling the sidewalks that run parallel to the street in front of or next to their home. Per Montgomery County Law, all sidewalks must be cleared of snow and ice, to a width that would provide wheelchair access, within 24 hours after a snow fall. This law is enforced by the Montgomery County Executive and not by the Vistas Community Association.
The Vistas is responsible for clearing the sidewalks running parallel to roadways that abut common areas. However, the asphalt paths and pedestrian walkways that do not run parallel to roadways will not be cleared.
