Trash Pick-Up

Trash is collected by J & J Trash on Mondays and Thursdays. It should be placed at the curb in front of your home by 6:00 a.m. on Mondays and Thursdays. Trash is picked up on all holidays except for Christmas Day and New Years Day.

If your trash is missed once, please call J & J Trash directly at 1 (800) 465-2350. If it is missed frequently, please call TMGA at (301) 948-6666.

Only normal household items will be collected. All trash should be placed in trash cans with lids or in tightly closed trash bags. 

Recycling Pick-Up

Recycling is picked up by Montgomery County on Thursdays. Recycling should be placed at the curb in front of your home by 6:00 a.m. on Thursdays. The recycling schedule may change due to holidays, depending on when the holiday falls. If your recycling is missed, call Montgomery County at (240) 777-6410.

Cans and bottles should be placed out in plastic collection bins distributed by the County. Papers should be bundled or collected in paper bags. Yard debris should be placed in paper bags. Tree limbs should be tied into bundles that are no more than 3' long and 12 inches in diameter. Paper and cardboard are to be placed in their specific recycling bins.

There is no County-provided recycling on these holidays.

If a holiday falls during the week (Monday – Friday), all collections scheduled on or after the holiday will be made one day later that week. Please remember, all items to be collected must be out at the curb by 6:00 a.m. on collection day.
